Commercial Bands
Variable Power
(2 bands per set)

Intended primarily
for Single Band
Freeshafting and Lineshafting

Variable Power Commercial Bands
Variable Power Bands offer three different power options and are intended primarily for single band freeshafting or lineshafting. The shorter amber band is the band used most often and is best for medium range shooting. The longer black band is used for shooting close range shots where less power is needed. Both bands would only be used when extra penetration is needed on a large fish or if you needed to make a long distance shot. If you primarily shoot with two bands, it is better to equip your speargun with two bands of similar length. Please consult the speargun specification chart to select the proper size bands for your speargun.

Speargun and Polespear Bands

Stainless Cable
Speargun Bands

The primary advantage of stainless cable wishbones are their durability. They are virtually unbreakable! Cable wishbones will rarely break, even with continuous use. Conventional wire wishbones frequently break due to the "in & out" flexing which occurs during the loading process, cable wishbones are unaffected by this. If you typically shoot more than 10 times per dive, cable wishbone bands may give you the best performance. There is nothing more frustrating on a spearfishing trip than having a wishbone break, especially well before the rubber has worn out.

Steel Wishbone
Speargun Bands

Steel or wire wishbones are the most common type of wishbone found on speargun bands. They offer a more rigid feel when loading the band and also give a little more room to remove your fingers from under the band after loading them. Our steel wishbones are made with a thicker gauge wire which greatly increases their durability. If you generally shoot less than 10 times per dive, wire wishbones are a good choice.
