The Paulope speargun has a very unique feature for a wood speargun. The speargun sinks without the shaft in the gun! This is a very important feature when working in low-visibility conditions commonly found in lakes, rivers, quarries, and kelp forests. The negative weight feature of the Paulope helps reduce the possibility of becoming entangled in the line because the gun does not float above you while working on the bottom. Paulope is a very dense wood and is completely resistant to water intrusion. Paulope has an amazingly smooth finish with a look similar to Walnut. The Paulope is equipped with a Hi-Vis yellow butt and matching yellow bands for working in low-visibility conditions.

Speed Load / EZ Stow Line System
|
The Speed Load allows you to reload the gun in half the time conventional line systems require. The Speed Load is faster because you wrap both ends of the mono line (shaft end & muzzle end) onto the gun at the same time. The loop created at the other end of the line has the Speed Load band. The band is stretched over the muzzle catch and the line reloading is complete.
The Speed Load band is the only part of the line system which will deteriorate over time. Conventional "shock cords" must be completely replaced when the latex tubing naturally breaks down. The Speed Load system avoids this problem because the only part of the Speed Load system which needs to be replaced is the tension band. All new spearguns are equipped with one extra Speed Load band. The replacement line kits include two Speed Load bands and the bands are also sold separately.
The Speed Load line system includes our exclusive EZ Stow feature. The line has disconnect clips at each end, which enable you to disconnect the line from the shaft and stow the line under the barrel of the gun. The EZ Stow enables you to safely stow the line during travel or switch to "freeshaft" any time during the dive.
